Learn to Massage Your Baby / Child

Infant Massage Class
Gather a group of 4 couples and you each receive the class for $40 each. Classes can be held in one persons home or at Remedy Wellness in Downers Grove, IL.
This one - four hour class will discuss-
* physical and emotional benefits of massage for infants and their care givers
* optimal times for massage for babies and children, cues that baby’s will be receptive to massage
* optimal oils or creams for massage
* a full body sequence demonstration and practice of massage strokes
* altering massage as the child grows
* songs and games to keep children interested in healing loving massage
A bottle of organic sesame oil will be given to each couple.
Parents, grandparents, sibling 8 years and over, babysitters and child care professionals are welcome to sign up.
Please bring only non mobile children.
Parents are welcome to come without their children and can practice on a baby doll in class.
Pregnant couples very welcome!
Many students find it easier to pay attention and learn in the class and then practice on baby after the class. Some babies may not be receptive to receiving massage in a strange place, around strange people or at the particular time of the class and I do not expect them to. I recommend that if you bring your non mobile baby that you meet his or her immediate needs for comfort, nursing and changing during class and practice the massage on your baby once home. Baby dolls will be available to practice on during the class.
Breastfeeding is always supported at Remedy Wellness and in Erin's classes.
